Welcome!

Welcome to Strength for Today, Bright Hope for Tomorrow! My goal, and the purpose of this blog, is to encourage young women in their daily life and their walk with God. The wonderful hymn Great Is Thy Faithfulness, which contains the line “Strength for today, bright hope for tomorrow”, has become a favorite of mine as God has given me strength each day to follow Him, and the bright hope for both my earthly future and eternity in Heaven. As Christ brings me strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, I hope you find it as well. Great is HIS faithfulness!

  • Nine presidents have never obtained a college degree.
  • Truman doesn’t have a middle name.
  • Kennedy won a Pulitzer Prize in 1957 before becoming president.
  • Eisenhower commanded D-Day.
  • Buchanan was the only bachelor president.
  • Clinton appointed more women to cabinet positions than any other president.
  • Harrison served his term for only one month.
  • Ford played college football (and was good at it) before entering the White House.
  • Cleveland was the only president to marry and have a baby in the White House.
  • Garfield was the only preacher to be elected.
  • Washington’s false teeth have become a part of American folklore.
  • Hoover presided over the most devastating stock market crash in history.
